Religion and Society

It's official: I'm now a doctoral candidate at Leipzig University, studying Chinese religion and society with Philip Clart. 

Click here for a summary of my research question. It builds off the work I did for Souls of China, focusing in on one of the groups in the book (the Beijing pilgrims) but in a more in-depth and systematic way. 
The only question is: can I write this without quoting Foucault and Bourdieu? Come back in a few years to find out...
